The last time we, as a wacked-out, celebrity-meltdown-loving nation were so up in arms about a man inking his own cheekbones was almost eight years ago when former World Heavyweight Champion of the World and the best part of The Hangover, Mike Tyson, Maori-swirled the area surrounding his left eye. When news of that tattoo (which has its own abandoned Twitter account) surfaced, it took a few days for newspapers and the still Space Jam era internet to float the images of Tyson's face, revealing the permanently marked realities of what had to be intensely dark times inside his mind. Now, Gucci Mane's got a new video with Rocko for "Birds of a Feather" a week later! Score one for the future, self-mutilation fans. Shortly after being released from a mental facility, Gucci went to tattoo artist Shane Willoughby and got a cone with three dollops of ice cream on the side of his cheek. Photos showed up via Twitter quickly and we wished Gucci (or someone, anyone, who cares for him) would finally be shocked by the fourth wall being the only wall and get this dude the kind of celebrity rehab he clearly needs. That epic sanitarium visit hasn't happened and unfortunately it looks like he may be ceding real sanity and its accompanying serenity to the tyranny of the masses. Maybe he can learn something from former shaved head sad face Britney Spears, who he is reportedly collaborating with. As he says in "Birds of a Feather," Now my life's a movie. Well, if that's how it's going to be, we are watching.
