Wiley rapping from his office desk is kind of genius image-making. Watching the grime godfather FaceTime his iChat is on some lo-fi Justin Bieber couch, rally the base, fuck the industry (but also imagine if the industry supported me) production steez that takes ten years off the potentially-dated feel of his career. It's invigorating and it feels like discovery. Glitz and glamour doesn't enter into it, this is a guy excited about rapping and that makes us excited to watch. By the last five seconds, he can't contain his joy, breaking into an arms-out victory belly dance and celebratory gun shot sounds, which is coincidentally exactly what we did when we saw there was a new Wiley song.
