What an unsettling day for music! First Fever Ray resurfaced with a new track, and then the Seattle-based Shabazz Palaces released the first single from their Sub Pop debut Black Up. It's a total Halloween party over here. On a more serious note, we've lately noticed that a lot of dudes are taking the rarely held psych rap torch and running all over the place with it. Main Attrakionz are making underwater rap, and Shabazz Palaces are making music that basically sounds like robots hitting the bong super hard and then rapping fragmented, ominous half-thoughts in the empty spaces. Black Up is out May 31st.
