If "Grown Ocean" proves anything, it's that Fleet Foxes are super stoked to be making music, and you can hear it in their songs. Helplessness Blues is a great sophomore album in all the right ways, it expands on the band's sound without deviating entirely. Basically, it's the sound of a bunch of dudes enjoying the fact that they now have time and money to realize their dreams, and the visuals for "Grown Ocean" are just more proof. Lots of smiling and playing outside in the daytime and sweeping vistas. This could be us, too! All we need to do is record a beautiful album of soaring folk jams that the entire world catches on to really heavily. No problem.
