John Maus' new video for "Believer" is everything we could want a John Maus video to be. It has a fittingly lo-fi, retro quality that somewhat obscures its technical sophistication. Maus sings about "people fighting all over the world" as the film takes us through a color-washed virtual landscape, interspersed with scenes from Jackie Chan's classic film, Shaolin Wooden Men. Maus' new album, We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves, is out in the US June 28th (via Ribbon) and on the 27th in the UK (via Upset the Rhythm).
