"Go Go Wine" was directed by Patrick Fraser and shot entirely in Kingston, Jamaica. It's an instant standout in Vybz Kartel’s video canon—no green screen vamping, tattoo chair histrionics or shabby iMovie effects—equal parts backstage docu-drama, stage choreography and glimpse at Kartel's hyper-real celebrity life. "Go Go Wine" producer Dre Skull was at the shoot, and reports that, the "hundreds of fans" filmed surrounding Kartel in the eerily lit, artificial-dawn street scenes, "were periodically pushing in a closed door and streaming onto the set." At the close of filming that night, participants swarmed Kartel, while others scaled roofs and fences to catch a wide-angle view of the mania. Kingston Story will be released by Mixpak on June 21st.
