There’s a great American tradition of New York being a welcoming port and FADER teamed up with Converse’s new Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn to further it. Once a month, we’ll be welcoming touring artists to the neighborhood with a visit to a local Brooklyn institution, as well as making time for an intimate performance. Catch that exclusive show, interview and MP3s right here.

We know the lyrics to High Places’ "Altos Lugares" because the band has conveniently posted them on their blog. We know the song's meaning, however, not because we've been touring the country gulping down sights as the band has in support of Original Colors, but because NYC has so many of its own "altos lugares" in the form of skyscrapers, the windows of which are perfect for detached reflection. Life in the city moves fast and it may be that High Places escaped to the West Coast to slow some of that down, but listening to "Altos Lugares" in the middle of Brooklyn has shown us that we don't necessarily need a mountain to see things in another light, maybe just some good tunes. Download the track below and follow us on Twitter for the opportunity to be a part of the the next Brooklyn Bound engagement.
