According to TMZ, it seems that Atlanta wunderkind Soulja Boy may be facing eviction from his Buckhead penthouse. They have reported that he was given an eviction notice after not paying his $4,725 rent for the month of November. He has until December 5th to settle or he could be permanently asked to leave. For FADER #74, our most recent Summer Music Issue, contributor Felipe Delerme spent time in the rapper's house. Here's how he described the apartment in question in his cover feature:
Soulja Boy’s 30th floor penthouse in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, looks a lot like the set of Blank Check, the 1994 Disney film about a discontented boy who is granted a blank check to pay for a damaged bicycle, which he cashes for one million dollars, purchasing a house and filling it with the most expensive toys he can find. Soulja Boy’s living room is outfitted with arcade-size video game stations, a pair of Segways, a number of unattended laptops and an entertainment system so expansive that it could only have been dreamt up by someone who installs entertainment systems for a living.
Soulja Boy's had some bumps this year. Last month, he was arrested for possessing a "substantial amount" of marijuana and guns. Earlier last summer, Soulja blamed hackers for racist and homophobic comments posted on his Facebook account.
