Felipe Oliveira Baptista is the brand new creative director at Lacoste after Christophe Lemaire’s several incredible years at the helm, and in just two short seasons, Baptista has established his own vision for the age-old French company. Baptista, originally from Portugal, has reinvigorated Lacoste's sporty heritage—the clothes aren't athletic per se, but they're light and easy, more attuned to running around a city's streets than a tennis court, maybe, but possessing great movement all the same. Baptista talked with us about Lacoste's heritage, his Fall/Winter 2012 collection inspired by ski slopes and where he hopes to take the brand in the future.
