The Mekanix are a Bay Area production team responsible for some the biggest tracks for the Livewire camp. They just released a No-DJ compilation of some of their best work, entitled Chop Shop, directly through iTunes. For some highlights, check out Shady Nate's Sade-sampling "Still Roll," J. Stalin and Guce's "Another Quelo," or J. Stalin and The Jacka's "Party Jumpin." There are a couple of new songs on the tape as well, including lead single "The Chop Shop," and "Home of the A's," which you can stream below. It's not the first collaboration between Husalah and DB the General, but the two complement each other incredibly well. Hus, in particular, destroys his opening verse, rapping about dark spirits and demons.
