The first track from Lushlife’s upcoming debut LP, Plateau Vision, displayed some sunny vibes, but the releases that have followed show a progressively darker side. Last month he released "Still I hear The World Progress," which owes its paranoid feeling to the manic 8-bit track, and this week heralds the arrival of Balam Acab’s way-slowed-down remix of the same song. The producer's moodier, ghastly rework and Lushlife's screwed-down, decelerated flow make it it easier to decipher what turn out to be pretty threatening lyrics.
