SFV Acid's "Ashland Slumber" is house music in the snappiest possible way, but the sounds he weaves together are more full-bodied and brillo-y than crisp and diamond-cut. The bass beat thunders, the hi-hat hits like a cracking whip and the track would be positively un-slumber-like if it weren't for the sparkling synth washes that Zane Reynolds introduces about a minute in. The California producer's Neighborhood Archives EP is out September 25th on UNO NYC.
