We always like to know what some of our favorite artists carry in their purses (and man-purses)—the essential items that they need for touring or subway rides, the Grammys or any other thing that they might be doing these days, which is why we’ve made it a regular column on the site.
This week, Tegan and Sara's seventh album, Hearthrob, debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts, the Canadian duo's highest U.S. position to date, and it reached #1 on Billboard's rock charts, a first. It was a late-career risk, but their full-on embrace of electro-pop paid off. Now, they're on a huge tour, leading through the summer, when they'll open for fun. But before all that, they need to pack their bags.
