Last Friday, D'Angelo and Questlove announced a last-minute show, held last night at Brooklyn Bowl. With just drums and keys, the two played songs from D'Angelo's long-awaited and "99% done" upcoming LP, tracks from 2000's Voodoo and 1995's Brown Sugar, as well as a cover of Prince's "New Position," the latter a possible warm-up for the Carnegie Hall Prince tribute show they'll both participate in on Thursday. Watch the pair's late arrival onstage ("Y'all waited 13 years, y'all can wait another two hours," Questlove said) and a medley of "Go Back to the Thing" and "Let Me Have It All," followed by "Alright" and "Mother's Son" .
