During the NBA Finals, Jay-Z announced, via a commercial for himself and Samsung Galaxy, that his new record, Magna Carta Holy Grail, is coming. As the Wall Street Journal points out, Samsung already purchased 1 million copies of the album, which they'll give away to for free on an app starting July 4th, three days ahead of the album's general release on July 7th. (The app will be available on June 24th.) Looks like Rick Rubin sherpa'd Magna Carta, and that Pharrell, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz all helped out.
