On September 3rd, Stockholm punk band Holograms will release its sophomore LP, Forever, on Captured Tracks. Lead single "Meditations" is anything but meditative; in fact, it sounds more like a wrecking ball of emotion, all pummeling minor chords, voice-straining shouts and a fist-pumping chorus that consists solely of the word destruction. It comes and goes like a tornado, but what's amazing is how the five-piece still find room for moments of grace, like the beautifully wilting, tremolo-ing guitar solo that occurs mid-way though.
