Roses is a three-piece from Los Angeles made up of Marc Steinberg, Victor Herrera and Abe Vigoda’s Juan Velasquez. As a band, they're refreshingly crisp—no fuzz here, just clear New Wave keys and a proud, confident attitude that makes them sound so happy to be making a pop record this exuberantly poppy. And Steinberg's vocals are a great complement, too, adding just enough melodrama to make it a pop song worth squeezing your eyes shut to and singing along. In a better world, "It's Over" could sneak on to a few mainstream radio playlists.
