In a way, the saga of Haim is about finding the best version of themselves—a rawer, rockier live incarnation and a more heavily produced genre-hybrid on their studio material, such as recent Ariel Rechtshaid-produced single "The Wire." The first version is my favorite, and here they wield it to cover Sheryl Crow's colossal "Strong Enough" for Australian radio station Triple J. Reminds me of this quote from Alana in their current FADER cover story: “In my eyes, only the strong survive. The more powerful girls are, the more interesting they are.”
