This week, recent FADER cover star Solange released an R&B compilation through her label, Saint Records, called Saint Heron, featuring herself, Jhené Aiko, Cassie, Kelela, Sampha and a few lesser-known artists. At a PUMA-sponsored release party in Brooklyn, she rolled up in a Lamborghini painted with art from the comp. In a similar curatorial spirit—sans record contracts, sample clearances, foreign cars, etc.—she'll be updating us every two months with a new Spotify playlist of favorites from names big and small. The first installment calls attention to a few collaborators—like Sampha, who's helping on her new album, and Kwes—as well as people she just likes, like Ty Dolla $ign and FKA Twigs. As usual with Solange's picks, we like them too.
