Better to die on your feet than live on your knees—the chorus/mantra of Swede gods of emotional pop The Embassy's single "I-D"—always seemed extra-pointed re: the band's split with their longtime label home, the now-shuttered Service. (The Embassy opted to self-release their hugely slept on Sweet Sensation LP earlier this year.) Now, "inspired by Kenneth Anger's Fireworks and Chick Corea's Return to Forever," they wrap a whole music video around the line. Someday The Embassy will truly die, but it hasn't happened yet. The boys are looking older, but still 100 times better than me.
