Better late then never, Kendrick Lamar shares a video pensive black-and-white video for good kid, m.A.A.d city's "Sing About Me." In it, Kendrick cruises his native Compton in the backseat of a car while British multi-media artist Eddie Peake gets to work on a new piece. His final product puts a smile on Kendrick's face. Look for Part 2 of this video -- presumably for the song's second act, "I'm Dying Of Thirst" -- next month.
"When the lights shut off, an artist's dream is that their work will stand the test of time. The ones that influence our culture are the ones we most remember. Here, two powerful creative forces come together to elevate the status quo and lay ground to their legacy. This is their poetry. Sing about them. This is part one."
