There's something triumphant about New York brand Hood By Air staging their latest show in Paris—romantic shades of The Battles of Versailles fashion show come to mind—and the antique brown halls of old France only put into relief how fresh Shayne Oliver's latest collection is: mixed in with some updates of the classic graphic HBA tees and oxfords are some truly progressive takes on denim (thigh cut-outs!) and zippers galore (one pair of pants seems to have pockets and slits every three inches). There's also the brand's first foray into shoes, a chunky take on platformed club kid Timbs and Matrix boots that we're hoping will soon be available at their first-ever official online store, which launched this weekend and surely has HBA groupies drooling. It's high times for Hood By Air.
