FADER PREMIERE
This past December, dance world bard/producer/impresario Matthew Dear released Audion X, a compilation bringing together a decade's worth of music he recorded under the name Audion, his techno alias. Fans of his epic, audiovisual HETACOMB tour five years ago will be excited to learn that he's currently putting together a new live set for the project, this time with a custom-built, sound-reactive light sculpture designed by Vita Motus. The new tour, SUBVERTICAL, will kick off at Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre on February 22nd, followed by San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival on February 26th, London's Oval Space on May 4th and a pretty sizeable number of additional dates that have yet to be announced. To warm us up, he's just dropped this pretty dreamy-sounding edit of Audion X album cut "Sky" from London producer Daniel Avery. Grab the album via Ghostly International.
