Watch Chronixx’s Righteous Clip for “Capture Land”
His latest single proves Chronixx is an invaluable new voice in roots reggae.

Them turn paradise inna plantation, Chronixx sneers while strolling through his native Jamaica in "Capture Land." It's a chilling dichotomy: sunny skies and crystal clear waters, born of the sweat and blood of populations shipped between continents against their will. Chronixx crafts a rich commentary on the post-colonial Northern Hemisphere and its global ramifications throughout the roots record, sauntering over a wet rhythm guitar with a conversational tone that almost eases the weight of his subject. By the time he's done listing off tropical islands and major cities alike that have roots in the slave trade, you can't help but wonder how such sorrow could sound this sweet.
