Watch King Mez’s Poignant Video “Morris”

Earlier this year, North Carolina rapper King Mez put out Long Live the King, a project that mixed vulnerable mediation with beats that float and hover instead of bang. Mez shined with this sound, and it's captured well on "Morris." The music video he just released shows two young kids biking around town, until one of the reveals that they've been carrying a gun in their backpack the entire time. In a blink, the kids are adults, looking back on their own childhood scenes via silver screen. If there's any constant for growing up on the edge of chaos as Mez depicts, it's growing up fast.
