Uber, the driver-hire app that lets you feel a bit like you've got your own private chauffeur, is about to become even more personal as it announces a partnership with Spotify, according to the New York Times. Judging from screenshots obtained by TechCrunch (below), the link-up will manifest as a new in-app feature that allows you to select your own tunes for the ride. The details of how the software partnership will work exactly are a little fuzzy—there's an official announcement coming Monday—but in these images, it seems the passenger will be able to control the car stereo's music selection with a thumb-swipe from their own phone. Here's to every Uber ride from now on going something like this.
