Remember that album that Madonna has been working on with the likes of Blood Diamonds, DJ Dahi and Diplo? Of course you do, because this week a handful of the tracks leaked online in what Madonna herself called an act of "artistic rape" and "terrorism." She's now responded to the leaks—which were apparently incomplete demos—by releasing six glorious new tracks from the upcoming album, Rebel Heart, in full on iTunes.
The superstar wrote in a statement: "I was hoping to release my new single "Living For Love" on Valentine's Day with the rest of the album coming in the Spring. I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift."
It's an eclectic and exciting bunch of tunes. "Bitch I'm Madonna," as well as containing a new Nicki Minaj verse, sounds very much like it's the track Diplo mentioned he'd been working on with hyperactive producer SOPHIE. Meanwhile one of the tracks is brilliantly called "Unapologetic Bitch," and another—titled "Devil Pray"—contains the lines we could get high and we could get stoned, we could sniff glue and we could do E and we could drop acid, which sounds like a pretty busy night. Listen to the house-inflected single "Living For Love" in full via the player below, and find the rest of the tracks (and pre-order the album, if it takes your fancy) here.
