UPDATE 2/19/15 12:47 p.m.: Looks like Cudder's gig was well-received. Entertainment Weekly reports that he'll be replacing Watts full-time; Watts is heading over to The Late Late Show With James Corden. "When he was on the couch, I knew he had charisma and star quality, but I thought he should move slightly camera right," Aukerman said in a very Aukerman-like statement. "Plus, my wife and I have been trying to have a kid for several years, and this is the next best thing."
Sometimes, I forget that Kid Cudi is an actor. But he is! And when I watch Kid Cudi on this clip from a recent episode of Comedy Bang! Bang!, in which he, Reggie Watts, and Scott Aukerman take turns imitating Prince and generally clown around, I'm reminded that the musician and man-of-many-trades born Scott Mescudi is, despite his placement in material that is sub-par at best, pretty good at being on camera and looking comfortable with the idea of "acting." Which is hard! I mean, look at Schoolboy Q's appearance on the show: he was fine, didn't embarrass himself—but didn't look particularly engaged. Cudi does, though—A+ for you, Cudi. Watch it above.
