UPDATE 2/19/15 3:56pm: The buzz around Kanye's appearance managed to obscure another notable in attendance: Chirlane McCray, New York City's first lady. They even rubbed elbows and smiled for pictures together.
Even if at least one fashion world figurehead isn't pleased with Kanye West's increasing presence in the fashion week sphere, heritage designer Ralph Lauren was all too happy to meet the rapper-cum-designer at his show today. Photos popped up on Instagram of Lauren cupping West's cheeks, eliciting a rare smile. The brand went on to celebrate the rapper's cosign of their show, gleefully tweeting about his front row attendance. This fawn fest comes after Kanye paid lip service to the design legend in a Style.com interview earlier this week, saying, "Ralph is the god. And that's all I want to say about Ralph." Lots of feel-good vibes for the final day of New York Fashion Week.
