Update 5/13/15 8:10 p.m.: The documentary will be released July 3 in New York, Los Angeles, and the UK, and it will be released nationwide July 10 according to Billboard.
Amy, a documentary about English singer Amy Winehouse by UK filmmaker Asif Kapadia, has just been announced, and it's due to see release in the UK on July 3rd. Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, and was well known for singles like "Rehab" and "You Know I'm No Good" off of her platinum-certified 2006 LP Back to Black. Kapadia is a BAFTA award-winning director known for his 2010 film Senna, a documentary on Brazilian Formula One racer Ayrton Senna. The film's website says a trailer is forthcoming.
