D'Angelo recorded a live session for Spotify that's now available for streaming. Few of the singer's legendary performances have been committed to recording, so any opportunity to hear his live work is worth taking. For this set, D'Angelo played three songs from Black Messiah: "Betray My Heart" (which segues into Voodoo's "Spanish Joint"), the album's lead single, "Really Love," and "The Door." He finished it off with a fiery cover of his idol Prince's "She's Always In My Hair," which he originally recorded for the Scream 2 soundtrack (released way back in 1997). Listen here.
