The London Evening Standard reports that Emily Eavis, one of the co-architects of the lineup for the Glastonbury festival, received a number of death threats this year related to the artist selection. Or from listeners arguing that the Who haven’t been relevant for 4 decades, so that group’s headlining spot should be given to someone else?

Nope. The threats were all Kanye-related. “It was not a pleasant world we unwrapped,” Eavis told the Standard. “I had death threats and stuff. It was horrible. It was just crazy… It’s hard to concentrate on the job because you can get easily distracted by the hoo-ha… This incredible onslaught worldwide ... It was quite upsetting because we were talking about something that was so exciting for the festival.” Kanye West is an amazing force as a performer,” she added. “For us, getting the biggest star in the world was an amazing coup.”
