Jessy Lanza Teamed Up With DJ Spinn And Taso For A Visceral Slow Jam

After releasing the acclaimed Pull My Hair Back album in 2013, Jessy Lanza has mostly stayed quiet. But she’s beginning to reemerge: she connected with Morgan Geist for a two-track project as Galleria, and recently BBC’s Annie Mac debuted Lanza’s collaboration with DJ Spinn and Taso, “You Never Show Your Love.” The track is a nice combination of Lanza’s preferred style—oozing layers of ‘90s R&B-indebted vocals—and the rapid barrages of percussion favored by Spinn and Taso, which give the whole thing a fluttering, frenetic quality.
