Toro y Moi Gets Dark & Moody With ‘room for 1zone’

Chaz Bundick, better known as dance music producer Les Sins and the creative force behind Toro y Moi, has uploaded a new Toro y Moi song and music video to go along with it. "room for 1zone" is new territory for the constantly genre-hopping artist in either of his projects, and it certainly stands in stark contrast to the funkiness of his last Toro y Moi album What For? The sprinker high hats, tight snare rolls and aggressive bass are all hallmarks of the "trap beat phenomenon" that Bundick spoke with the FADER about last year. Meanwhile, the accompanying music video features a man in a du-rag grabbing his crotch and getting weird in front of the Prada Marfa sculpture in Texas. Huh. Watch above.
