Having already dominated the UK charts with house-inflected pop hits "Rather Be" and "Hold My Hand," fire-haired popstar Jess Glynne is coming for the US, too. Her debut album I Cry When I Laugh is out on August 14th in the UK and September 11th in the US, and its release will mark the start of her first North American headline tour (check the dates below).
Bangers aside, Jess shows her soulful side in this acoustic performance of "Ain't Got Far To Go," which she tells The FADER is her favorite song on her upcoming album. "It was the first song I wrote with Knox Brown which was so special. Together we created the spine of the album and found the soul of it, and 'Ain't Got Far To Go' was the beginning. It's about never giving up and believing in yourself, not letting people get in the way of what you want and making it happen. It couldn't be more relevant to my life right now; going through such a scary time [Jess is about to have vocal surgery] but still knowing that I 'Ain't Got Far To Go' till I'm back and I'm better."
