In her new Rolling Stone cover story, the star reveals her modern politics and ancient love of mix CDs and sailor hats.

Today, we've already learned we can call Kim Kardashian a progressive and a Hillary Clinton supporter; now, we can add "feminist" to the list. The reality star revealed her self-identification as a feminist in her new Rolling Stone cover story, for which she was shot by professional sleaze Terry Richardson while inexplicably dressed as a sailor.

"I've never really been one on labels, and I don't like to push my view," Kardashian told the Rolling Stone reporter. "If I feel something, it's how I feel. I never say, 'I feel this way, so you should feel that way.' Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I just am who I am. But, yeah...I think you would call me a feminist."

The statement is bound to come with its controversies, problematically wrapped up as it is not only in a roundabout answer and a Richardson cover shoot, but also alongside her thoughts on her first marriage at the age of 20 ("I was very happy at home learning how to cook and clean and keep a house. I knew that was where I wanted to end up."), and O. J. Simpson, who her father Robert Kardashian famously defended when she was a teenager ("I just try not to think about it"). But, the more women willing to claim identification with feminism in the public eye—particularly self-made, world-dominating women like Kardashian—the better, and every individual's path to their beliefs is different. Believe it or not, you can be a feminist and want to be a domestic goddess, or once have made a sex tape. More simply: can she live?!

On another note, the star also revealed that she has a love of making mix CDs, keeping an older computer with a disk drive specifically so she can keep up the hobby. Which leads to the most pressing question of the day: what would a mix CD from Kim to Kanye sound like?
