Listen To FKA Twigs’ “Figure 8”

Beats 1 unveiled a new FKA Twigs song this afternoon. "Figure 8" is very Twigs-ian, a mix of breathy vocals and a tricky beat that constantly seems on the verge of imploding. In a brief interview with Lowe, Twigs said she wrote the song a few months after finishing up her debut album, LP1. Overwhelmed by her sudden success, Twigs started learning to vogue in New York City as a way "to stay sane." The dancing ended up inspiring her songwriting as well.
