I started last month with every intention of writing about Bobby V's "Slow Down" being the hands-down, uncontested greatest song of the summer. After watching the video for "Say It," a new slow-rolling crush ballad from Toronto's Tory Lanez, I don't have to. The scrappy rapper/singer updates the classic music video television tropes: a hot afternoon spent trailing an object of affection past basketball courts and city landmarks, ending at a party where it all goes awry. All the intro's missing is Ludacris and a flip phone product shot. 106 & Park is sadly no more, but we're glad to see Lanez nailing the after-school video vibes. "Say It" is available now on iTunes, Tory's Benny Blanco-helmed debut is in the works.
