Miley Cyrus has to answer to more questions from a rapper she mentioned in an interview. First, Cyrus caught the attention of Nicki Minaj who, in an interview with The New York Times, she said was making issues surrounding race in the VMAs about her. Now, Vince Staples is taking Miley to task for another interview. In her cover interview for Marie Claire, Cyrus both mistakenly referenced an A$AP Rocky song for a Kendrick Lamar song and made a rather dubious comparison. Here's the quote:
"There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore."
It looks like Vince Staples wasn't going to let the error go unanswered, either. Speaking to i-D, Staples spoke candidly about how he felt reading Miley's quote.
"She didn’t know who she was talking about. Kendrick Lamar doesn’t have a song about LSD – that’s A$AP Rocky." Staples said, "so is it either you don’t know what you’re talking about or is it all black people look alike? Either one is fine with me but shut the fuck up Miley Cyrus."
