Kaytranada put together the beat for "Your Love," and he imbued the track with the brittle bounce of early '80s funk. Mick Jenkins also built the visual with an earlier period of history in mind: at one point, the rapper approaches a girl and starts doing his best "Staying Alive" dance. The clothes are colorful and suitably retro, and the MC is as comfortable crooning as he is rapping: Pardon me for standing in your sunshine, lady/ Let me parlay with you for the one time, lady.
