Adele’s “Hello” Earns Biggest YouTube Debut Of 2015
With more than a million views per hour.
YouTube released some illuminating statistics about Adele’s “Hello” clip today: the visual garnered 50 million views in its first 48 hours. During peak viewing times, the video was watched 1.6 million times an hour—more than 400 times a second.
According to YouTube, Adele handily beat Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” clip—which grabbed a still-impressive 20 million views in 48 hours—and the trailer for Star Wars VII, which maxed out at 1.2 million views an hour. Check out the graph of the singer's views per hour above, and revisit "Hello" below.
