Blaze Kidd’s “Icnorante” Should Come With A Strobe Warning
The London-based Ecuadorian MC teams with Daniel Swan for a head-spinning visual.
Ecuadorian MC Blaze Kidd won hearts last year with his Exclusivo mixtape, featuring his rapidfire Spanish bars peppered over production from the likes of Palmistry and Ana Caprix. This year, now working under under the umbrella of collective Bala Club (with fellow Londoners Kamixlo, Uli-K, Lexxi, and Endgame) he's back with the head-spinning "Icnorante," complete with an equally head-spinning visual. Directed by multimedia artist Daniel Swan, who creates uneasy virtual worlds for the likes of Jam City, RL Grime, and PC Music, it's a non-descript late hour in the club, when you can't keep up with the faces appearing in the strobes.
The tresillo thump of "Icnorante" is produced by Kamixlo and Uli-K, and it's the first track to be unveiled from an upcoming collaborative mixtape between Blaze Kidd and Uli-K called 2 Sweet. Watch the Bala Club Soundcloud for the mixtape release in November: it's set to feature production from recent FADER Mix-er Endgame, Stockholm sad boy Whitearmor and more.
