Daniel Avery described the music that caught his attention in a 2013 interview. "I like records that, when I hear them, I'm like 'How the hell did they get that sound?' or 'Where the hell did that come from?' When I hear it out in a club, I love the stuff that knocks you sideways."
His latest track is "Sensation," a slow-building number with a crude, slightly hollow beat. The percussion shifts periodically, but the main action stems from two curtains of noise that drift into the song, swelling like a distorted string section and then falling away.
