"Lighter" is a standout moment on the Miley Cyrus/Flaming Lips collaborative record Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz - a close sibling of "Time After Time" and other classic '80s ballads. Might be why it's turned into "a fan favorite," as Miley writes in the description for the "Lighter" video, directed by herself and Wayne Coyne. Miley and an anonymous dancer bathe in a stream of psychedelic projections created by Jen Stark, a wild compliment to such a sedate song.
