According to Billboard, Adele's new album sold 1.15 million copies in the week leading up to Christmas. This makes it the first album in history to sell more than a million copies in three separate weeks. (Nonconsecutive weeks, but still.) The pre-Christmas frame even exceeded the album's second week, during which 25 was purchased 1.11 million times.
