Kendrick Lamar appears in the latest installment of the Grammys "Witness Greatness" video series. "'Witness Greatness' powerfully brings to life those transcendent moments of achievement that captivate us," a Recording Academy executive explained in a statement. "Whether it's on the stage at the Grammys or on the field at the Super Bowl, these are the rare moments that help define us and inspire us. This campaign celebrates these breakthrough triumphs that raise us to new and unexpected heights as the world watches."
In the video, Compton residents take turns rapping lines from "Alright," which is nominated in four categories: Song Of The Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Video. At the end of the clip, Kendrick arrives to lead the crowd in a performance of his hit.
The Grammys air February 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
