The Internet Is Still Freaking Out Over Kanye West’s Tweets To Wiz Khalifa And Amber Rose

As the release of his new album approaches, Kanye West has rumbled to life on Twitter. Especially so this Wednesday afternoon, when he wrote a series of tweets to Wiz Khalifa, in response to a series of tweets from Tuesday evening where Khalifa objected to Kanye changing his album’s name from SWISH to WAVES. "Please don't take the wave," Khalifa wrote. "Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him." He then tweeted several songs from Max B, "just so you know what true waves are."

On Tuesday, Kanye sidestepped Khalifa's critiques, writing, "All respect to Andre Harrel and Max B." But Wednesday he responded directly, first aiming at Khalifa's music, before setting his sights on the Khalifa’s past relationship with Amber Rose and the former couple's son, Sebastian. "You let a stripper trap you," wrote Kanye, who dated Rose in 2010. "I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years... You wouldn’t have a child if it wasn’t for me... You own waves???? I own your child!!!!"

After a while, Kanye relented, declaring "I love Wiz and I love all all my brothers and all people... I love the world bottom line and all I want is peace and positive energy." Then he delted a majority of the negative tweets, "cause it’s all about positive energy blessings blessings positive energy blessings."

Still, on Twitter plenty of people—including Kanye—declared Kanye a victor:

Kanye has publicly dismissed Rose on several occasions. His February 2015 statement, on The Breakfast Club, that after his relationship with Rose he "had to take 30 showers" partially served as the motivation for the Slut Walk event Rose organized in L.A. last October "for women that have been through shit."
