Rihanna’s ANTI Jumps To No. 1 On The Billboard 200
The singer earns her second No. 1 album.
When ANTI debuted at No. 27 last week, it was an unusually low start on the charts for a star of Rihanna's magnitude. This was partially due to the fact that the album arrived towards the end of the week, so it didn’t have much time to make an impact, and partially because all those free downloads did not count towards Billboard’s tallies of album sales.
But this week things balanced out, and Rihanna returned to the top of the Billboard 200. According to Billboard, moving from No. 27 to No. 1 marks the biggest jump to the summit in eight years. ANTI is the singer’s second album to top the albums chart, following 2012's Unapologetic.
Impressively, Kevin Gates’ Islah clocked in behind Rihanna at No. 2.
