Bernie Sanders Defeats Hillary Clinton For Major Upset In Michigan Primary
Plus, Donald Trump seizes two more states.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders finished just ahead of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in tonight's Michigan's Democratic primary for president, a major upset in a state that had Clinton ahead by twenty points in the polls. Meanwhile, Donald Trump continued to hold off the Republican establishment with decisive wins in both Michigan and Mississippi.
Clinton had no problem securing Mississippi and its 28 delegates. But Sanders's victory in Michigan, a blue state where she was highly favoured, injects new momentum into the Vermont senator's campaign, which is falling behind in the overall delegate count.
