Big Lean recently earned a coveted spot for any Toronto hip-hop artist — a spot for a new song on a recent episode of OVO Sound Radio. It's a well-deserved trophy for the Parma Court resident who came up under the stewardship of Hush, a local rap legend also known as Young Tony.
Today, Lean is back with a new track “More Than Music.” In a laidback and squeaky flow laden with pauses for effect, he outlines his relentless hustle, two-faced friends, and almost everything else other than the sound that helps define him in Toronto's bustling rap scene. “'More Than Music' was a result of some personal issues I was going through.” Lean explained to The FADER. “I wanted my fans to know that the pain and struggle in my life is real and there is more to my life than music. I had all these emotions bottled up inside of me and just let it all out on the record.”
